Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey
1 tbsp avocado oil
2 cups shredded lettuce
1/4 cup diced white onion
1/4 cup diced tomato
2 oz of shredded cheese
4 tbsp sour cream
4 tbsp prepared taco sauce
Seasoning Blend
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Mix seasoning blend. Set aside.
- Prep veggies and cheese. Shred lettuce, diced white onions and tomato, and shred cheese.
- Form four 4 oz turkey patties. Sprinkle both sides with the seasoning blend (easier to season second side once flipped in the pan).
- Heat skillet to medium-high heat.
- Add burgers to pan and press with a burger press or smaller heavy bottom pan, to allow full contact with the pan.
- Cook for approximately 3 minutes on one side and 2 on the other or until no pink and internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Once done, remove from skillet and plate. Add sauce directly to the burger and top with all additional toppings. Enjoy!
