My Keto Why

Happy New Year! I hope you have been enjoying the first days of 2022. From Thanksgiving to Christmas, now we are officially into the new year! Whether you are new to the keto lifestyle or a vet, welcome, welcome! Since the new year is always a good time to reset, this month’s theme at FatUp is “New Start”.

My pastor kicked off the new year with “Let Go” (don’t worry I ain’t no preacher but I do got a quick word). I thought it would be quite appropriate to add this into the post because it got me thinking. Sometimes the best first step we can make in starting anew and moving forward is to first release some old things that are weighing us down (I heard somebody say amen,  just playing).



New Year

I know some of you kicked off the new year either starting or restarting keto. So for this post, I wanted to introduce you to “My Keto Why” a resource that I created to really help drill down into the why of your personal keto journey. There’s nothing wrong with jumping right into another new year weight loss challenge, but have you first stopped to think about the why of it all? 

Most of us here would say “Duh! I wanna lose weight!” and that’s cool but why!? I ask this because the answer to that simple question could be the difference between you sticking to it, and saying I made it and going back to your old ways.

Is 2022 gonna be the year that you transform your health with keto? The only thing standing in the way of that is your commitment to yourself. My Keto Why is a mini-guide to help you process through the things that matter. Narrowing down the focus to what matters most to you. The great thing is that there is no one size fits all because my why is likely not exactly your why and vice versa.

My Keto Why walks you through:

    • Brainstorming
    • Writing it out
    • Reviewing and Repeating it 

Use this digitally or print it out and fill it in. Whatever way you choose matters less than that you complete it. This is a short activity and can probably be completed for most in less than 30 minutes. However, if you want to spend more time processing and thinking it through, do that.
